A COUPLE OF WRINKLES MAY BE SEXY BUT SURGERY HASN’T KILLED ANYONE
Publish Date: 2008-11-21 00:29:54

Once you have turned 35 you should start planning some alterations to your face and body; at least this is what the media keeps teaching us. Though there are a great number of women who were genetically endowed with beauty, if they do not strive to keep their youthful look, some way or another, they will soon realize nothing lasts for ever. As for the less-than-perfect category of girls, they might need 'fixing' even earlier in life.

As we all know, sports can do wonders with most of us but only if we start practicing when we are young and keep a certain low-fat diet along the way. When physical exercise stops to be effective, the scalpel comes onto the stage – men and women of all races and cultures get a ticket to a cosmetic surgery clinic sooner or later, for a liposuction procedure for example, if they care about the way they look.

While years ago only stars would think of getting their looks improved, recently an impressive number of patients belonging to all age groups have been queuing up for plastic surgery of some kind. Why on earth are we so concerned about the way we look? Is it because whenever we browse a fashion magazine or turn on the TV we come across perfection? Anyway, whoever wants to avoid temptation had better switch to Sports Illustrated and Animal Planet.

Some say that a couple of wrinkles can be sexy and that true beauty comes from the inside. Actress Julianne Moor is one of them. Not only is she against Botox, which many of her peers have lived on for years, but she also refuses the idea of trying the 'knife'; at least this decade when she is only in her late forties. She says that the maximum health benefits she has experienced came from Goji berries. Good for her! Many actresses of her age have already undergone several interventions and they do not look better than she does.

Others consider plastic surgery the answer to all questions. We would be nothing without it; this is the best and quickest way to turn a frog into a prince(-ss) and also keep certain obsessions at a safe distance. Few of us are really happy with the way we look but the solution is out there. A couple of thousand dollars can make your dream come true. Is there a tiny part of your body that you are not really fond of? Call a surgeon and it will be history. He will find a way to get your self-confidence back by doing what Mother Nature failed to.
